Abnormal bleeding is heavy or unusual bleeding from the uterus through the vagina. Irregular bleeding can occur during your monthly cycle, including during your normal menstrual period.
What are some symptoms?
Vaginal bleeding between periods is a symptom of irregular bleeding. Heavy bleeding during your period can also be considered unusual. Very heavy bleeding during a period and/or bleeding that lasts more than seven days is called menorrhagia.
What causes irregular bleeding?
